Default Name that vent hose!

Ok, so my power valves got me poking around and I have no idea what this vent hose is for, or for that matter why it is zip-tied shut?

It's coming out from the front of the cylinder next to the exhaust. Why is this here, and why is it plugged off??

The inner part of me that puts things together without looking at directions is telling me to cut that zip tie off and they it drain!

What say you?

Thanks, Rob

Default Thanks John!

Could that hose (which has now been freed and dripping black goodness) being stopped up be the reason for my bike running with low power??

No. Doesn't affect power.
It's the power valve chamber drain hose.
The hose is zip tied closed as per an EU requirement.

Could it be so gummed up with spooge that it's affecting the power valve operation though?

I have a similar issue with a husky WR 125 which ran poorly and low on power ( kind of like when it's warming up and it won't come on the pipe and pull away really clean)

Still starts and idles beautifully though

I unplugged a drain hose and released heaps of spooge, so I'm interested in your diagnosis

I've been unable to ride test mine since though, so don't know if this was the problem or not

Sorry for the hijack, but just sayin... it may be part of your problem

There could be a spooge build up to clean, pull the cover and have a look see.
