Looking at this statement, does this mean the GG 2t engines have been built by Husky all along?

The agreement includes the transfer and integration of technology in the R & D department of the Catalan brand, enabling it to manufacture in their Salt (Girona, Spain) four-stroke as well as the two-stroke engines, previously produced by Husqvarna Motorcycles s.r.l in Italy. - See more at: http://www.enduro21.com/index.php/co....gek3szcd.dpuf

The 250/310 4T would be a hot seller.

Looks like they are buying the intellectual property and my guess is that they are looking to get the 4t, but get both.

Looks like GG will get a good 250/300 4T motor and a good 125 2T as well.

Does this mean that the future holds 165 kit equipped Gassers?

I thought that the GG 2T engines were a Czech built Husky design.
I don't know why I think that, though.

Wasn't Husky working on a FI 2T?

The Husky 250/310 x-lite motors have been plagued with problems. Hopefully GG can fix those issues before incorporating them into their bikes.

GG does not mention it will replace the current 2ST with Husqvarna ones. Actually makes no sense .
The HVQ "piccolo" 4st engine is quite good performance wise . The 250 and 310 delivered 2 WEC titles to Meo and 1 to Salminem. Not sure if they can be compared to an RFS engine for durability . But there's still an open gap for a 450.

The italian designed and built 450/510 motors were great - I hope they didn't buy the bmw designed motors.... I own a 2008 husky txc510 - which is "all italian".

These motors w/ efi met u.s. emissions standards and are approved for sale in the U.S. :-)
