Default Chain Guide

Have read a few post's re TM chain guide and they sound great...but is it worth saving a few dollars and just buying an XR one?

Is the year/model specific to suit my 06 FSE?

Thanks in advance

Adam

The XR guide is good, but for an extra $20 I think the TM is well worth the money. My girlfriend got one for her KTM and I was blown away with the quality. For reference I have the XR guide on my EC250.

what model XR guide? and does it go straight on?

I bought a CR125-250 one, the 2 holes were the right distance apart, except it was about 3mm to wide in the middle, so i ground it down and now its fine. it uses the facotry bracket that comes off the swing arm.
its a UFO one, cost me 30 NZD, so about 20 USD.

LTR makes a nifty little bracket that bolts on to the swingarm. Then you bolt directly on a 1996-newer XR 250 chain guide. Works great. I personally like it better than the TM one becase it just looks like it's a stock part. No bling, just works.

Pretty sure LTR isn't making the guides anymore. Maybe Go Fasters will get some made up?

Les may have one still that he'd sell. Give LTR a call.
