Sounds like the clutch plates are stuck together.
With the motor off. Try putting it in 5th-6th gear. Pull in the clutch lever and try and move the bike forward or backward. If that is not it...hmm. Is there a engine kill switch for either the side stand or one so you can not start the bike in gear without the clutch lever pulled in? Maybe one of those are faulty if it has one. Just a WAG* Jeff * wild ass guess * |

clutch
I have a o3 400 fse if it sits for awhile the clutch does stick together. I start the bike and then push it then put it in gear ride it and pull the clutch in and out when it warms up it will free up. Gasit16

When I start my FSE in cold weather the engine oil pressure returns the clutch slave cylinder more than what can be moved with one clutch pull. While engine is not fully warmed up I need to fan the clutch repeatedly to make it disengage

MY fse did that yesterday. After a bumpy ride I stopped at my mailbox to pick up the mail. Shut the bike off. It restarted but as soon as I put it it gear it shut off. After a few attempts, It did run but poorly. Barely made it home. I restarted it at home and it kept doing it. Than I noticed that the red ignition light was coming on and off as it stalled.
My problem was there was just 1 or 2 strands of wire still connected to one side of the ignition switch. Soldered the one side back up and that fixed it. Tony |
