Rich is a great guy. You could not ask for a better dealer! Did you see my blinged out Berg in the front window? Yep that is my berg!!!

The piece you will need is the OEM rear part of the air box cover. The CDI module mounts on this piece.
You will also need 4 rivets to attach the new piece to your existing air box.

I tried to find a fich with a picture but came up blank.

You're welcome.

The biggest improvement was the 2010 radiator shrouds.
I grip the bike with my knees a lot and the 2007 shrouds were very flexible where my knees gripped. The 2010 shrouds are a lot stiffer.

Hello,
Your bike looks amazing like that! I really want to do this update to my 2004 450 SM.
Could you please tell me how much it cost for the plastics kit? I tried emailing Smith's Powersports, but they have not responded. The only place I could find that had them is in the U.K. They have 2010 Racetech plastics for $130 plus $35 for shipping. I'd prefer to get them in the states if possible,
Did Smith's have to order them for you, or did they have them in stock?

Thanks a lot,
Casey

Looks cool. Leave the seat it suits the look.

Where did you get the yellow backgrounds from?

The yellow back grounds are from Blackbird.
They also came with yellow air box cover decals. I thought it would be too much yellow.

For 2004 you will need the 2007+ subframe to make the '10 plastic work.
I lost the reciept for the plastic. I forgot what it cost.

The plastic I have is by PoliSport. The Race Tech stuff is good too.

Smith's should have the plastic in stock by now.

I fitted -07 plastics to my -02. You have to cut some parts(the rear fender, have to use battery box from old one), move some fastening screw points(almost all of them) Modify the rear subframe... The seat is different but i made room for the fastening screws by heating the side panels and making a "dent" so the seats screws fits in their places.
