Is it just me? Rimlocks - any trouble?
Hey folks,
I've got an 05 250EC with DID rims. I finally figured it out ... well maybe. I am ripping the crap out of my tire beads!!! I solved the problem when putting the tires on - it seems I really need to fart around with the rim lock when putting the tire on, and then there is no problem. I struggled big time and wrecked a tire due to not fiddling with the thing. The stock rimlocks seem really finicky, and hard to get set within the tire. I find that if I play around with it, eventually I hear a little pop, and it sneaks itself around the bead. Getting tires off is another story. Still having a hell of a time! Anyone else having this problem? I thought I saw some mention of using some other kind of rimlock. What does everyone use? ~300 |
