Default Another new Gas Gas owner

Hey all. New to the forum and new to GG. I just picked up a used 2011 EC300. I race hare scrambles in the VCHSS in VA. I havent had the GG very long and havent gotten to put much time on it yet. I have been racing a RM-Z250, so its taking some time to get use to.
I see theres some great info on here and I'm sure I'll be picking yall brains for info.
I do have one question already. I saw a post about how to fix this and can't find it know. My head pipe has a bad rattle when the throttle is open about mid range. Its in the pipe cause I can put my boot on it and it complety stops the rattle. Is there a good fix for this?

Yea, I kinda figured that would be one of the things to try. I did pull the front mount off, the rubber is a kinda worn and a little sloppy. I'm sure thats not helping any.

Welcome David! Glad to see another VCHSS Gasser out there. We are slowly growing in numbers. Hope to see you out there in the spring. Didn't get much time to ride this year.......

I love my RMZ. I will keep it for now, cause I can't bring myself to let it go. I have always owned 2 strokes it's my first 4 stroke. The biggest differance from the 09 to the 12 is the 09 was the last year with a carb. With a JD jet kit mine will start first kick on the start line.
