Default 04 ec300 overhaul

Doing winter overhaul on my 04 ec300

Started off with a new top end then i decided to go all out, new reeds carb stripped down cleaned all new vent hoses. Rebuilt water pump, adjusted powervalve slack, sent suspension out to fcr for full revalve and rebuild, got all new plastic 04 red rear fender, 08 front fender and rad shrouds, also my brake pedal was getting pretty clapped so i ordered a yamaha tusk bling one much bigger than oem in the process of making it fit now

Heres before

Default 04 looks good

Your 2004 looks good with the new stuff. A couple of questions, as I've an 04 as well. Was it difficult to get the 08 radiator shrouds to fit? I'd understood the plastic changed around 06 or 07, but I don't know. Maybe the new 08 shrouds fit the 04 nicely and easily? (I'm hoping!)

Second, how do you like the work Guts did on the seat? Same foam thickness?

Steering stem bearings should also be looked at, maybe you've already done that. I like the red color plastic.

Regards,
Prentice

Looks good!

Don't take it as an insult, but is that seat cover for a different year foam?

Thanks guys! The radiator shrouds mount fine just make sure on your rad or cage you have a rubber grommet to hold top of shroud on, my mistake wording that thats a guts seat cover ( supposed to be for this year but was alot bigger hence the slack and im no pro at installing) and steer bearings i service every 4 rides

Steering bearing service every 4 rides? Do you drop the transmission oil half way thru your ride??
