Ignition Coil Location - 2011 EC 250

Hi all,

Trying to rebuild my project bike back to factory as the previous owner has made a bit of a mess with it, the electrics in particular.

The ignition coil when I bought the bike was in a vertical position and only attached with one bolt (see attached photo).

Assuming this is incorrect as the top bolt in the photo doesn't connect to the frame, I can't figure out the correct orientation as the tabs on the frame don't line up with the coils mounting points.

Does anyone have any photos to show the correct layout of the coil, regulator and horn please?

That's a larger coil, probably from a different bike. The stock coil mounts on two frame tabs, one above and one below the coil body. I have photos from above and below.

Found a picture of the rectifier. Bolts on the left side of the sub frame.

Oh excellent! Thanks for sharing, that definitely explains the issue haha! Even the reg is different from yours, this project is full of surprises! 😂
