Default Kick/side stand

This thing is ridiculous! So I went to remove it just to use the triangle in the rear axle. And it has a puller so the hole is blocked.

What do you guys do?

For a triangle? Swap the axle 'round so the open side is on the preferred side for the triangle. And it's not a puller, it's to prevent the axle from spinning while turning the nut. The little stub props against the axle block so you don't need two wrenches to remove the axle.

So I know this is old, but it had me thinking. The fat pin that goes through that end of the axle is welded on, right? What's to stop you from drilling out the center? I doubt it'd greatly affect the structural integrity of the axle. I know drilling the nut-side would probably be easier (last time I tried my buddies triangle stand it didn't quite fit, but could've been due to marring/grime).

Does anyone have a close up picture of the original side stand? Mine is a yr 2000 bike and when I bought it a few months ago the stand mount bracket was snapped. I am going to fabricate a new one and some pictures would really help out.

Thanks
Ade

Default random update because I'm bored

Drilling the nut-side of the axle was pretty easy and having the triangle stand on the right side is very nice for changing the oil! I hated the gasgas kickstand, but my stand and bracket were pretty mangled anyway, so when the spring broke I just gave up on it.
It's a two stroke, so I can always turn the gas off and lay it down...
