Default Need someone who is a gasgas guru

Right I'm sure u guys have seen this a million times and I know it is not impossible to find the dreaded no spark issue. these bikes r renowned for so many ppl have spent so much money trying to fix diagnose some people have found solutions whilst others have not . I'm in talks with a bloke who has an 05 fse and one day just died his pulse coil had a crack in it and wasn't putting out the correct current so he replaced it n since than he hasn't got spark he has sent everything harness coil Stator plus ecu to Melbourne to get it bench tested with nothing being found. Wrong with it he has checked his wiring harness the whole bloody thing for continuity with everything testing out correctly fully charged battery another ecu checking fuses etc still nothing I have this same issue as him my question is when something shits itself does the while system fail n need to be reprogrammed or something along those lines...need to talk to someone who knows his stuff really well like I said this can't be impossible we need to find the solution can u guys please help out with any info cheers gasgas guys

Default Solution ?

I had the same problem and also looked for "big things" to be wrong. After hours of checking everything dozen of times and putting multiple ECU's on plus changing coils.......it was a wire getting pushed out enough to not touch the ECU when plugging the main harness connection to the ECU under the gas tank. I think it was #19 wire and it tells the ECU that you have a good ground.
Make sure the wires don't get pushed out by watching very closely when you plug the wires to the ECU ( easier to see when not connected to the gas tank)

I think my 05 FSE is possibly doing the same thing. When I turn the key on, nothing. Then upon reaching under the tank-seat junction and slightly pulling the main hardness rearward, I always instantly hear the fuel pump energize and its gtg. Sounds pretty hokie, I know

My friend and previous owner said its been this way ever since recently rebuilding the bike from a bare frame up.

I've only had it 2 weeks, and have yet to pull everything to track down whats actually happening under there. This sounds like the best clue so far.
