Brake spring location

I have a 2003 EC250 and noticed this spring in hooked where does it go?

On the frame where the swing arm bolt passes through.
Should be a small hole to hook the spring into.

I don't know if the part I hook this too is broke off. Can someone send a picture with the spring connected please.

Not so much a hole just a gap in the gusset in the frame.
