Default moose piston?

Has anyone used the moose piston?? or should I just go with the S3? I started to look in to my engine, I was going to see what my squish gap is. When I pulled the pipe and had a look at my cylinder and piston, and It looks like the piston it starting to flake. I hope the cylinder is okay and does not to be replated, But a new piston is needed.
