squish height 2000 mc
hi everybody
can anybody give me some tips on determining the squish height for a 2000 mc 250 i am rebuilding the engine and it came with 1.9 mm squish this seems to me a bit high some help would be great thanks everybody |

i've just read that you should be somewhere between 1-1.3mm depending on what power delivery you want.
don't forget to measure you head volume after you skim it down though... about to do the same to my 200... ciao, Hannes. |

Go to the head mods page then the squish band test page, everything you need to know on how to test. The suggested correct squish as per the book "two stroke performance tuning" by a graham bell (the bible of 2t tuning) is 1.25 mm for two fifty, 1.3 mm for 300 plus or minus machining tolerance. Cheers PS I'm not a tuner but read a lot.
