2010 EC 300
80-100* 100-500' 175 Main N1EF 2 nd clip from the top 42 Pilot airscrew 2 1/2 turns out slide (stock) #7 93 oct fuel mixed @ 50 to 1 Amsoil Dominator Results: bike runs great from idle to throttle stop. Hey my bike came with a few other jets and a CHN spare needle. Anybody try one of these? BTW where are you guys picking up the CCK needles? |

I ordered my needle from GoFasters. My bike just wouldn't run with the NE1F.
Current conditions are: 80F 1000 MSL 2010 EC300 170 main CCK #3 42 pilot 2.5 out on air screw 45:1 fuel Runs very smooth from idle top, with just a very slight hesitation on to the main. The bike does seem to be a gas hog. About 2 hours on a tank, race pace on tight 2nd gear trails, very little time on the main jet. Not sure if I could make a 2 hour HS without refueling. The bike is still slightly rich, but I like it way, to keep things tamed down. |

Thanks I'll have to give them a call I wanted to get the fork bleeders anyway. I am almost scared to mess with my jetting it seems to run great the way it is but this is my first big 2-stroke and maybe what feels good to me can be improved upon by the CCK.

You can get needles from SUDCO and about any carb part you might need
http://www.sudco.com/ Quite a few reports I recall of the CCK needle getting poor fuel mileage. Perhaps try clip # 2 position or a JD Jetting needle.

I asked GoFasters about fork bleeders for the Sachs. None available yet, unless you want to drill and tap to a larger hole. |

Well I do like the way it runs but I may not be the best judge of how a 300 should run and it's easy enough to put back like it is if I don't like the change. Hmm I 'll just wait on the fork bleeders, thanks for the info. Thanks for the link Skidad. I don't race so mileage isn't a big deal I just want to try a few combo's and record how the bike feels.

My neighbours '05 EC200 was running really lousy and so I put in a #7 slide and it sure seems better now! It has a LT needle but we also have the JD kit. Is the 7 too lean? We reun from 4000ft to 7000ft. Is the #5 slide stock? We brought this bike from an area that has an eleveation of about 750 to 1100 ft.
