Default The future: for Kawasaki anyways...

poached from RMD:

"Hey guys!

I just got back from CostCo in Sacramento and they had a KX450F on
display for $7,001. That's pretty darn good... There is a flier and
I believe that all Kawasakis are available at a deal price.

I'd love one but no Fun Tickets to spare at this time!

Just FYI.... "

Assuming this is a great price, and having been a distributor who depended on dealers being able to make a living, this just makes me sick. How's CostCo gonna be for parts support? Oh, the official Kawi dealer is supposed to pick up that slack? Really? GMAFB.

Support your GG dealer in 2012.

Happy New Year!!!

(edit: I should add, for people who are not in the USA or are outside the CostCo sphere of influence, that CostCo is an example of a "warehouse store" that sells retail goods without all that pesky retail stuff like service, support, product knowledge, really caring if you are happy with your choice, etc.)

I remember when Sam's Club was selling Michelin knobbies (S12 etc) for $45.
All the local dealers raised hell and they quit carrying them.

Ugh. OK, it's not as bad as I thought. They just refer the customer to a dealer who's agreed to sell at CostCo prices.

still sorta rubs me the wrong way, but...
