Can lights/computer work without CDI

Recently bought a 2015 ec300 but the wiring is a mess with missing battery and CDI.

(I?d like to add I know next to nothing about electrics I found a diagram online for the electrics and as far as I can see everything is there other than CDI and battery)

I was thinking about buying a battery and sorting the wiring out just to get the lights and computer working as I understand the CDI is just for the bike to start off the button which I?m not too fussed about at the moment but don?t even know if this would work or if I should would need the CDI to get it all working.

The cdi is your ignition system. So no, it will not work without the cdi.

Are you sure the cdi is missing?

No CDI= no running bike

My bike runs fine on the kickstart the CDI controls the spark ignition for electric start to work
