I looked at the FIM rules on-line....

"If handguards are used, they must be of a shatter-resistant material and have a permanent opening for the hand".

Looks to me that all "bark-buster" type handguards are outlaw-ed because, in the case of a crash, they trap the hand inside the guard. I have a friend who won't run them because he broke his wrist because he went over the bars and his hands were trapped inside the guard...

You may want to put the YZ kick starter on .
The GG kicker is a poor design that lets mud into the pivot, once that happens you can't flip it out.
Ask me how I know.

Good luck at the ISDE.
Is the mad man (Guy Perrett) the team manager?

Nope, I don't think Guy is involved with the ISDE this year. I saw him last weekend at the Monkeywrench, Guy still goes damn fast. He's racing Vet Expert, but caught most (if not all) of the expert riders and probably a few of the pros. Team Canada has a couple key organizers. Butch Kelly is the Team Organizer, Lee Fryberger is our paddock manager. I talked to Lee today, he told me barkbusters are allowed, but there isn't any tight stuff so he recommends ARC levers and flag handguards.

Anyone have a hookup for ASV or ARC unbreakable levers? Thanks again for all the help guys,

Steve

I don't have a hookup for ARC or ASV, but I am a non-barkbuster user myself, I use teflon tape under the perches and have never broken a lever or perch (yet).

In southern NJ you'll break all knuckles and both perches without them!

Hi everyone....

First of all, I must appologice, my english is kind off.. rusty .. I've been many years without practising. I'm from Catalonia, I live 2hrs away from the GG factory, but i've never visited it.

I've a 2007 EC250. I used to own a Yamaha WR 250f, with ARC levers and I was very very happy with them.

I'd like to put them in GG, but I can only find the brake lever... since the front brake is nissin there is no problem, but the I cannot find the lever for the clouchwhich is AJP or somthing similar...

¿Anyone knows if its possible to fit one of these unbreakable levers in the GG clutch??

Thanks
