brake pedal bushing? ??

This is my second time doing the bushing and second time buying the bushing sleve (part no 20) and not being able to fit it because its too big for the pedal. .is there a knack to fitting this or do I even need it?? what is its purpose?

Bushing 20 rides on sleeve 62.
Without bushing 20, you would have a loose brake peddle.

Did you drive the old bushing out of the brake peddle?

no.. I just purchased a new peddle (after market) I still have the old peddle tho..
