Default E-Starter Kit EE855002513

Hi,

while I'm waiting for my E-Starter Kit (EE855002513), which is on its way from the US, I have a question:

The E-Starter Kit (EE855002513) is for the Gas Gas EC300 2012-2013. Their CDI is positioned differently than it is in my EC300 2011. I don't know if I can reposition my CDI for the supplied harness to work or if I need the Wire harness P/N EE101002510.

Anyone knows or can find out what I have to do or what else do I need to install the 12-13 Kit in my 2011?

Thanks and regards,
Gerardo

I repositioned my cdi to the 2012 location on my 2010 ,but it is tight. Some fabrication is needed.

Hi Claude, tnx for your reply. Where is the 2012 CDI positioned, do you have any picture or is it shown up in a 12 Manual? I also figure out to enlarge each single wire that goes to the CDI, no problem to me to do that, but perhaps I need to remove my CDI to make place for the battery. What is your suggestion please? Regards from Chile

The CDI is on the front frame downtube in front of the fuel tank. Yes you need the room in the air box for the starter relay.

Hi Claude, tnx for the info. Is your starter running fine? I've read about plenty of issues with the bendix and/or the adjustment (clearance) between it and the FW gear. Do you have any installation suggestions or are there any somewhere? Have you done the CH80 Honda bendix mod? Is it worth to do it? How did you install the battery? I have an Alu Sub-Frame (my 2011 is the Replica Nombotin) but without batt support. (The Nambotins are top bikes). Thanks

I also have a Nambotin. I did use the scooter bendix. I tried a regular battery but it didn't have enough power so I bought a Shorai and it works great! I bought a new subframe with the battery box for cheap so that's where it sits. If your handy you could fabricate an battery holder to you existing sub frame.

What? You found an electric start conversion in the U.S.? May I ask where from?
