Default Metal piece

Hi I own a gas gas ec 200 2006,just done a gear oil change and pulled a piece of metal out of the drain hole,the bike has been running fine and gears seem to work nice,the piece has ABEC-1 on it,anyone have any idea what it is and where it came from ?

Looks like part of a ball bearing .

The ball bearings at the outer ends of the transmission gear shafts have a metal shield, that would look like this.

looks like a metal bearing seal (if the metal oneas are called seals) and i think abec is a brand of bearing. Cant help with where it has come from, but the question should be ... where is the rest of it?!

Yikes! I agree, it's part of a bearing. I would be splitting the cases immediately to fix it before it becomes worse.

+4. If that locks up bad things will happen. Hopefully you've caught it in time. The good news is the come apart easily without a splitter.
