Default Fantic

ok does gasgas provide motors to fantic? i found this link over on ktmtalk, and it looks waaaay to similar.
http://www.moto.it/news/le-fantic-motor-2011.html the engine and gas tank and some of the controls all look very very similar, as does their estart.

"125, 250 and 300 two-stroke.....
This is demonstrated by the three beautiful bike made by the staff of Fregnan and strictly powered engines with Gas Gas (revised accordingly in the exhaust and carburetion) to 2 times. "

HAha, too funny. With GG engines I'll stick with GasGas! I had a Fantic trials bike at one time. Right side FORWARD kick to start. Remember to always turn the handlebars to the left before kicking or you will recieve a lesson to your knee if it backfires!
I think mine was a '89 model 301. It was a good bike.

Looks like they supply alot more than engines. Swingarm, rear fender/side panels and airbox, and the radiator shrouds look trick and i think the bolt pattern looks the same as my 07 ec300. Anybody know where to get the shrouds?

woohoo, i had one of those. tore the hell outta my right inner leg when a kick went wrong. you had to turn bars, and stand way up front like you're straddling the handlebars and give it a good solid kick or you had problems. it started easy enough if you knew the drill, but it was a very foreign sensation kicking right and forward... it had the neatest flywheel weight setup, took under a minute to change to 3 different flywheel weights.

Missed this thread,, the pic thread on the fantic bike does look nice and if they make it here and end up selling low due to lack of sales might be a good back up GG..
