Start/Stop Button
Hello GasGas,
I've just purchased a 2005 450 FSE. In reading the manual, it instructs the user to not turn the moto off using the key, but to use the 'stop' button on the right handle bar control. The manual says that 'damage' can occur to the fuel injection system. Unfortunately, the bike has been modified and that stop button removed... the previous owner only has a 'start' button installed. I'm wondering if anyone out there can advise on the proper way to turn the bike off if the start/stop control is not functional as in my case? |

I didn't have the button also and rode with out it and switched off from key but when on the trail it was little bit uncomfortable to switch off when i fell.
So my suggestion is...trace the wires and look at the electric schematic and fit a new button! |

GG Riders,
I have now realized I was given a 2004 FSE manual with the moto, not a 2005. The '05 manual instructs the rider to use the ignition key to kill the motor; no warnings of damaging the injection system. Thanks for reading regardless. |
