which reeds/cage are best for ec200 2000?
i have a boyesen dual stage reed setup now. broke a reed in the woods. so, i'm looking to replace - what works best ??
i'm assuming replacement reeds are RAD-34C and not psr-21 right?? Last edited by stainlesscycle; 08-15-2009 at 11:21 AM. |

I've just ordered some more as mine were cracked a bit - I went for the Boysen carbon fibre dual stage ones mostly as I was happy with the way my bike worked before so just want the original power back.
The info I seemed to gather about reeds indicated you can trade low end performance for top end with the different reeds, I think the stockers are a balance, you'd have to do a bit more research if you wanted better performance at either end. My KTM had C/F reeds and they lasted a lot of years with no wear, however I notice my boysens it's the bottom reed which broke and on the C/F ones only the top reed is C/F so I'm not expecting them to last any longer than the plastic set though the price was reasonable and that's what my local shop normally use so I went with them...
