Default New member buying a gas gas halley 450

Hi, i'm Robin from Belgium. I'm going to buy a gas gas halley 450 because it's a good learner's bike for a shortie (1,65m) like me. I'm going to buy it uncorked so it has 50 hp, that's more than enough for me. I'm going to sell my yamaha thunderace to finance it and i know that's going to hurt because i loved my big bike with all it's power. But i didn't like the cramped riding position and hard suspension on those belgian crappy roads.Previously i also had a Scorpa T-Ride 250F which was stolen after my accident with it . I also liked to ride my scorpa but the build quality was just terrible so the bike spent 1/3 of the time at the dealer. I hope this bike will be reliable. I think i will have to be very careful with the battery since it only starts with the red button, but i don't think it will be a problem since i have a very good battery loader. I will post some pictures when i have it. I hope this will be next week because i can't stop thinking about it

I finally got my new gas gas halley 450. I have ridden it for 10 minutes and i can already say it's has a strong engine and it has torque from all the way down. But it doesn't like being lugged at -3000rpm.

Here's a pic:

That's a nice looking bike. What is a "Halley." I've heard the term, but have no idea what it means.

The Gas Gas Halley 450 is the succedor of the pampera models, they are trail bikes. The Halley and Pampera 450 models come with less suspension travel, trail tyres lower quality suspension, lower seat height, better on-road performance and cost less than the FSE 450 enduro model. I have the same engine as in the 450 FSE enduro and my Halley has been uncorked so now it has about 50hp instead of the lame 30hp standard .

It's fuel injected . I have ridden 650-1000 cc road bikes with carburators for about 6 years, which is fine except for cold weather and elevations. I now must admit that a bike with good regulated injection system is even better then a carburated bike.
