Need Sachs expert
My sachs shock heats up and has no rebound (100% spring). After cooling off it works fine again. Any suggestions. Took apart and see no problems.

I give Les a e-mail and ask. les@lt-racing.com
He's the expert. Great guy, easy to talk to and very knowledgeable.

I switched to the Ohlins shock and solved that problem.
I think Les mentioned that the shock fluid breaks down causing the loss of rebound. |

Mine always worked well but its an early '07. Les told me that there was a revision in some later shocks that did not work well. I just got mine back from him and what he did was change the piston ring and resurface the piston faces. Other than that he gave it the thumbs up!

I had the same issue on my 07, sent it to Les, good as new (actually better, had it re-valved). Apparently there was an issue with some of the Sachs shocks but if it's worn out it will act the same way.
