Rekluse Z-Start Pro and Core Clutch/EXP
Alright, I recently talked to the Rekluse guys and they're back to saying they're not going to produce a Z-start pro or the new Core Clutch/EXP for the GasGas. I'm hoping we can show there is enough interest in these that it would be worth their while to produce them.
So, here's a poll to try to guage some interest. Who would absolutely commit to buying a Z-start pro if Rekluse made one for the Gasser? Who would absolutely commit to a Core Clutch with EXP? Who has an existing Z-start? Let me know, and hopefully there's enough interest to get Rekluse to start giving us some options! EDIT: For those who don't know what the Rekluse Core Clutch with EXP is, look here: http://www.rekluse.com/exp2.shtml. Basically it can be setup to slip like the Z-start, or work like a manual clutch with an antistall feature. For me, I like it (at least in concept) since it uses clutch springs and is easy to work on and replace plates (important for the ISDE). The gap is also easier to set. It's possible they aren't telling you the truth (hopefully) There was good info they were working on the Pro model and when I e-mailed Sean at Rekluse a short time ago he didn't deny it like usual.
That being said I guess if I had the choice I would choose the new Core EXP. Yeah it's like $200 more than the Pro but it's an entire new clutch (all the plates) with some really cool technology and feels TOTALLY like a regular clutch. I've read 2 magazine reviews now and MX Action just loved the thing and gave it 5 stars. I could be totally happy with the Pro if it was the other option. Rekluse NEEDS to do this IMO. I am already pretty much due for a clutch, so the Core with EXP interests me although it's $$$$.
Good document- http://www.rekluse.com/exp%20product%20structure.pdf

I talked with the Rekluse guys at the Montana National Enduro last weekend. They are strongly considering making another clutch for the GasGas, either the Pro or EXP. Right now they're leaning towards the EXP. If you want this to happen, tell them!
