Default 2007 Honda CR125

Found one of these for my son. By pics it looks good, and owner says 30 hrs, which I think is BS. Anyway, I will check it out unless any of you guys here can give me a reason to pass and wait for a YZ. I just don't know much about the small Hondas. Thanks Guys!

Yamaha's had a much broader powerband, much better suspension, equal or better brakes and are still being made - go blue.

In the right condition, and for the right price, all the 125's were plenty good. I would certainly go for condition over brand.

I just picked up a 2002 CR125 for my Nephew. Its CLEAN, came with a ton of extras too. Was hoping to find a clean YZ125 but I paid way less than half of what 2005 YZ's were going for.

He is planning on riding with us at the local MX track, but has no intention of racing. So the CR's hadicaps compared to a YZ were less of an issue. If he decides to race later, we will be looking for a KTM SX150 or a 250F of some description.

Thanks guys. This will be both for trail and harescrambles in the Schoolboy class. At this point, a sound bike is most important. The kid is not that serious and anything decent will work. He rode an 85 up hills that give guys on big bikes fits, so this will seem like a 450 to him. I'm going to try and check it out this week.

Well the guy never got back to me so maybe its a moot point. I'm pissed at myself for not picking up that GG125 from my brother my nephew used to ride. That was a good bike. The guy who bought it is a member and shows up now and then to whine about it. I offered him what he paid but no response. I had seen his add on CL for THREE TIMES what he paid my brother! No clue.

I have an 07' cr 125 that i bought for my nephew to race in B 200. The bike never held him back, he did very well on it. He no longer races, but I still ride the bike during the week and race my GasGas on the weekends. That little Honda handles better than my 11 xc 250. The bike is not that hard to setup for offroad. I have some little tricks that I use to help the bike with lowend and smoothing out the power that really work and are not that much $. If you do happen to get the bike let me know and i'll give you the run down as to what I have done to it.
