Today I did the fork seals on my 2009 ec 300. I haven't actually posted what I've done before. I've only owned the bike for about a month in that time I've done chain and sprockets front pads rear wheel bearings swapped out the shock spring for a stiffer one. Halfway through doing all this i took the exhaust off to check the powervalve tension and looks up the port to see the piston was in a bad bad way. Stripped it down to find out at some point someone had done a piston change and put it in the wrong way so the rings had caught up on the exhaust port mashing up the rings and my barrel. So that was off new vertex piston kit and the barrel sent off for repair and replate. Now I finally have the bike as I want. Loads of compression sounds amazing pulls amazing so nice to ride. Oh and swapped out the brake banjo for a solid one way nicer feel to the brake now.

I washed mine for the third time since racing it 2 weekends ago. Nasty mud caked into every nook and cranny.

Todays wash was stripped right back. No tank, no seat, rear fender removed. Poor bike was looking used prior. Looks good with a spray of silicone though

My 2011 frame is off to the powdercoaters for a new paint job. While I flirted with changing my bikes color to green or yellow I eventually settled with keeping it red. Frame will be a ruby red over silver metallic.

Ken,
Post photos when you get it back, and again when you get it finished.
I want to see it.

I tried to straighten my RHS radiator. I also installed radiator guards from Bulletproof Designs.

I went from this:

to this:

Not perfect, but at least it fits inside the Bulletproof Designs radiator guard.

I filled it and went for a short ride in 1st gear around the house. Couldn't spot any leaks.

Today I rode my EC250 for the first time since installing the KYB SSS forks. WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG!!! They are amazing. Now I need to tune up my Ohlins shock.
