it is public land.. we have been cutting some really cool trails here..

kinda cool when he and i show up on the gg's and we out number the other bikes... now he has 3 gg's and is in the lead... for now...

the lead rider is on a new berg 300 camera man on a 02 ec 300..

both VERY good riders imho..

this is a great place to ride... as with most places, everyone calls trails and land marks different things... high trail, low trail, north trail, ect... some have been named after riders....(jays brake... jays gas stop..)
our group calls all trails the same to make sure everyone knows where to go..

the 7 min mark is the start of the jalapeno trail... pretty much everyone calls it that.. no matter who they are or who they ride with..
my goal is to ride that section without putting a foot down.. have not done that yet..

jay

Here's Jay arriving at "His" gas stop.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dBJQEdWw7s

Here's another look at it. You can barely see it at 31 seconds
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18ekiNQqGeU

And here's it got its name.

My son turned Jay's gas off while we were all sitting on our bikes chatting after coming down another trail. On the start of the 2nd link is about where Jay's gas was turned off. As luck would have it, I didnt have the camera on, but Jay makes it half way up the 3 ft tall rock and runs out of gas.

Right of the rock is a 8-10 foot drop and steep for another 30 feet down. Right before the rock is an off camber loose steep incline with a hard right, then you have less then about 6 feet of straight away to tell yourself, that huge rock in front of you is nothing to worry about, before you have to climb up the rock.

A new rider that has started to ride with us wanted to change the name after he rode up to it........ the Death Zone.

Everyone thought Jay running out of gas 1/2 way up the rock was funny, well maybe Jay didnt think it was as funny. lol

Here's Jay's Brake
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xgaogPjjRE

As luck would have it again for Jay, it was not caught on camera.

About 9 seconds in is where something( I dont remember if it was a rock or stick, Jay what was it?) gets into Jay's rear brake and bends it around and locks the brakes on. He's trying to go un aware of the problem. lol

jays brake... a nasty little exit off cactus trail... got my rear brake lever caught on a rock... turned it 90 degrees sideways... Luckily "Jiggy" was with us that day and we laid the bike down and he stood on the brake lever and we got it ridable ....

just got reminded it was jays highway, not cactus.... wonder how it got that name....

ggman... this is what your old 250 is dealing with every ride... sorry..
