Default kick stand spring cover

On my 2000 EC250 kick stand spring there is a thin plastic covering. Has anyone for a suitable, stock like replacement for the covering?

I presume you do not heat the heat shrink so it will allow the spring to move inside.

Wow this is a fascinating thread

Actually mine kinda did look like heatshrink. If you used thickwall shrink tubing and only lightly shrunk it down it would have enough movement in it I'd think.
