Power drops with revs

I have a radiator fan from GG trials bike that I fitter to my 300 it comes with a rectifier and was tild to connect ro ac so to connect it I have used the headlight wiring and switch

what is happening is when the bike idles the fan turns great but as soon as the revs pick up the fan stops. Any ideas what is wrong?
