I still haven't gotten around to checking the crank as when i checked the flywheel nut i noticed the 2 bearings on the starter shafts were crappy. With Only 20 hrs they were dry as so went with sealed units.

I was told today that due to there being not stock of the nut that is required, If the wrong nut has been fitted dealers have been told to locktite the wrong nut in place.

Somewhere, I have a video of one of the faulty nuts. It's obvious from that video that the thread is so slack that Loctite would not make a great deal of difference. The nut is aluminium or similar light material and can be rocked on the crank thread.

Just a thought - but does a crank nut off a YZ or a CR fit?

Easy to check by looking through the oil level window.

Lol. I dont think the VIN or the lhs crank bolt are visible through the sight glass..

.... Might be because its the RHS Crank Pinion nut. Try reading the Technical bulletin.
