Hi I'm wondering if anyone can help, I'm trying to sort out a bodged attempt at wiring on my bike and up till now it's going well.

I have a random yellow and black wire with a female ended bullet connection on it poking out of the loom right next to my coil and voltage regulator but there's no other wires in its vicinity to connect it to. Looking at the wiring diagram the only y/b wire on the whole bike comes from terminal 5 at the CDI and connects to the green and blue for the kill switch.

Anyone got any ideas?

Can you take a picture of your voltage regulator and that y/b wire?

In the older bikes the BLk/YW wire was for the kill switch.

I have the picture but no idea how to upload it. I'm a bit of a caveman when it comes to that sort of thing.

I'm gonna fire the bike up when I get home and see if my new kill switch kills the engine, if not I'll try to connect that b/y wire to terminal 5 at the CDI as per the schematic.

Well the new kill switch works and that b/y wire isn't connected by the coil so God knows what it's for.

Shame I failed my motorcycle test today otherwise I'd have been out tearing it up tomorrow. Looks like a couple of weeks of fettling.
