In years past the 200 has been built on the frame and motor / tranny of the 250 and 300. This makes for a very robust 200, but does not offer much by way of weight savings to the overall weight. I believe this will be the case for 2011 as well.

However, the feel of the 200cc bike will be very different since the rotating mass, and the piston mass will be greatly reduced. This will result in a more flickable bike.

John,
There will be some 200 Six Days shipped later this month. That should put them on dealer floors in mid to late December. Where are you located?
The factory website lists the 200 at 95kg which calculates out to 207 pounds, I believe.

I am in Powhatan VA about 40 miles west of Richmond, VA. The 207 lbs is the weight I came up with also. That should make for a fun package. Thanks for getting back to me.

I don't see how the 200 can be more than a few lbs lighter than the 250. That said it probably feels lighter than that due to less inertia and less power. I'm interested in a 200 Race next spring.

Smaller crank and no counter balancer alone might save several pounds. If the rear tire is smaller (or just a different tire) that can add another pound or more to the weight savings.

The brochure I have list the weights at 95Kg for the 200, 101kg for the 250, and 102kg for the 300. That should put the 200's weight in at 207 lbs if my math is correct, the 250 at 222 lbs, and the 300 at 224 lbs. I think I'm more curious as to how much low/mid tq the 200's put out. My next bike will be a GasGas, I am just trying to decide which one.
