Default question on LH crank seal

Hi guys,
MY bike is running really bad, wont rev past half revs etc, I know could be a number of things but im just going to start and work my way through things, I know it can be Cranks seals so have ordered them and going to start there. My question is do you use any gasket sealant on them like yamabond etc? on the web ive seen some people do and others put them in dry but couldn't find anyone thoughts of a gas gas owner?

many thanks
si

I was looking up the exact same thing last week, in the end I decided to use a thin smear round the outer to help it seal and some grease on the inner lip

I pretty much pushed it into where it needs to be with my fingers, left it an hour and when I re did a leak test it was all good

It's been causing me some serious problems finding the fault with mine

I would recommend buying or making a leak down tester for peace of mind

Most common fault seems to be stator coil. Those plastic covers are crap!
