Crank Seal
I'm having some trouble with my jetting. One minute its rich, then its lean.
I now suspect that I might have a leaky crank seal on the ignition side. Question: Can I replace the crank seal by just taking of the ignition parts ? or do I need to split the case ? Kim

Just pull the stator and R&R, easy. Be sure to carefully drive it in square and FLUSH to the case, not deeper! If you do not see any indication of the seal leaking behind the stator, I'd look at the reeds and other gaskets also. If possible do a leakdown test.

Got new reeds in.
Could possible have been the choke on the carb (which I also replaced).
