One of the places i worked was a bridge site where the temperature was often in the 40s C but high humidity, once i thought i would cool off by hopping in the river with my clothes on - the river was not much cooler and withthe high humidity i ended up spending the rest of the day with damp clothes!

They are the conditions I live/ride in. Always hot and ALWAYS HUMID. The issue is always being unable to shed the heat effectively, and the only thing I've found to work is to strip off and find some shade and cool water to submerge in. While you're moving the airflow does a decent job.
On the real cruddy days you'll have a cool shower and try to dry yourself, and the humidity just keeps you wet.. |

I have one of these. You really can feel the cooling effect on your chest when it's hot. I never wanna miss it in summer time.

I have the evs cooling vest, in hot conditions its great for a moto, but in a hare scramble or enduro you end up with a hot and heavy shirt after the cooling properties wear off.

So the vest only last 25-40 minutes? Or longer?

I don't know about the "EVS cooling vest" but these vests don't have to be heavy or hot. You can make one from two polyester t-shirts and those special little pellets that shrink to nothing when dry and weigh no more than styrofoam.

I have the hyperkewl West and this one last for a few hours. It does not get heavy or hot, but for the cooking effect the west needs wind. Means it works better when you ride faster and the wind gets through.
