Default Newbie first GG

Hi guys,
just thought I would say hello. I will have loads of stupid questions shortly

Just bought a 2013 EC300E - first 2 stroke and GasGas and to be honest I'm gutted I havent seen the light before.

I've come from 4 stroke, KTM in the past but dont think I will be going back anytime soon.

Loving the new bike, have a big grin each time I ride it.

Oh, first stupid question here goes.

When cleaning the bike do I need to drain the float bowl on the carb or do anything else?

Is it easy to do? I'm not the best with this stuff, any pics/articles on how to do this in a idiots guide?

Cheers

Welcome to the world of GasGas, you'll find lots of info here and a ton of friendly people to help. Don't be afraid to use the search function. Where are you located?
As far as draining the float bowl when cleaning, I personally do not do that but you do want to take care when spraying around the air box as some have had severe flooding issue when doing this. I know it exixsted on the 12s and think 13s were susceptible also. Enjoy!

Thanks Fred. I'm over in the UK so it's always wet to some degree.

What I normally do is take out the air filter, obviously block it then give the air box a good spray when doing the rest of the bike. It seems to drain ok after a few minutes. I like to keep it clean in there

Also been told that when first starting from cold it's best to be kicked rather than use the electric start.

I don't have e-start but would agree with that procedure

I have estart and I am using the Shorai Lithium Iron Battery. I use my estart at start up and after warmup. I can't remember the last time that I used my kickstarter.
