Whats a 2003-04 good running 300 engine worth?

Im looking at a 2003-04 ec 300 with winkies and a legit Oregon plate to buy.
I have an earlier ec 250 engine Id like to put in it and sell the 300 engine complete.It rips and is in excellent shape.In effect Im buying the complete bike to get a roller I can tag up.

Would anybody be interested in the engine?Whats it worth approx.?
Im looking at paying roughly $1800 for the bike.
The platable roller is worth between $800 and a $1000 to me.

I would say a complete engine would be $250.

I do not know what the engine is worth but from 02 to 03 the swing arm bolt increased in size, but you can just swap the top ends and that would be much easier to do.

Well, Ive cannabilized my other 2 Gassers to help members with older bikes.So I need a new Gas Gas plan.
Could I drill the cases on the 250 you think?

When the new chasis (and engine arrives), slip the 250 top end (piston, head, cylinder, pv, etc) over onto the bottom end. Probably easier than boring out your current pre 03 250 (depending on how much material there is to work with).

The thing is I need to sell a complete engine to make this work.If I sell the 300 I know it runs good and it would probably sell to a member.I could stand behind the 300 engine.If I swap top ends Id be selling an engine that I couldn't test and couldn't stand behind.
I was just gonna take the 300 for a rip with a go-pro so anybody interested could hear the engine run.

I'm pickin up what you're putting down. Assume you'll rebuild the 250 as part of your build up so that you know its solid too.
