Question Carb Alignmnet

And now for what could possibly be a very stupid question......

On my Previous bikes, there was a "tongue and grove" alignmnet indicator/slot on the carb and the reed valve rubber housing. This allowed me to twist the carb on its axis, once in place, to align it as indicated before tightening the screws.
The GG does not have such an indicator. (or am i missing something?)

Does it make a difference in any way, or is close enough to vertical good enough?

Default

my old bike had the same thing. I just eyeball it on the gasser. I do it when its a on bike stand. I find it tucks in against the gas tank pretty well. I have more of a problem with the airbox boot wanting to come too far over the carb housing.
