Default 2011 SixDaze Snapped FootPegs.

This happened last weekend during a typical single track ride through Arizona at an uphill rocky dry waterfall.

It was replaced with a set of Pro Taper pegs...

The stock pegs are the same pegs found on Honda CR's and Yamaha YZ's,, in fact my 03 had a part # on it that I could search in Honda's computer for a fast emergency replacement. They dont take much abuse on the Jap bikes or the spanish ones in the rocks.. the ones your mounting look good and tough tho..

These pegs are for a yz. I had a set of pegs laying around for a honda crf and a kx. They were not even close to the same mounting as the Gasgas. The yz pegs look to be a exact match, and fit perfect. The stock pegs are not the same as crf in construction as my spare stock honda pegs are bent and dented and this pot metal design just snapped off when the bike fell over sitting still.

My son broke his right side peg on his 3rd tank of gas. Luckily there was a late model Yamaha here that refused to start. We cannabilized his Warp 9 peg so my boy could keep riding. It fit OK but didn't pivot up very far before it contacted the brake pedal. Later I got my neighbor to weld the OEM peg back together until we can get some Fastway pegs.

I think there's two things that cause the breakage: poor metalurgy and the brake pedal contact.

Poor metalurgy: The fracture on that peg looks very "pot-metal-ish."

Default Broken pin

I installed fastways on my 2011 300 and I had the pin for the peg snap in half last weekend while riding.

It was the stock pin and the top half of the pin was still on the bike. The pin was rusted all the way thru. I replaced both pins with 10mm bolts and nylock nuts with locking wave washers and some locktight. The fastway peg is fine and I can not recall hitting anything.

Which YZ part number did you order from Fastway? They have 98-09 4-stroke, 2010 4-stroke, and 97-10 2-stroke.

I actually used the Fastways from my KTM. I had to grind a couple of mm's off of the collar to make them fit the GasGas.

If you order new ones get ones for a yz two stroke.

If you are interested I am thinking about selling mine and going to a set of the Moose hybrid or pro pegs instead. They are in good shape and already made to fit the Gasser. I figure $75 would be fair if you are interested.
