AJP was the traditional supplier but the company went under as they were spec'ing the '12s. They apparently got their stuff back together and are fitted once again. I didn't look but I would expect the hubs to also be AJP.

The factory gets a lot of pressure to use Spanish companies for parts. AJP is a Spanish company, I believe, but I'm not sure and I'm too lazy to Google it.

The 13 also does not have excel wheels from what Iv'e heard. Does anyone have a lowering link yet for the 12???????? I saved $900 but maby I should of bought a 13!!! Shrouds and frame guards look like and easy change. Seat deal I'm not sure about.

I don't have a '12 to compare it to, but I can say that:
1) The wheels do not say Excel, so I assume they are not. They look nice to me, though. 2) I hate the battery being on the bottom of the seat, but oh well. 3) The shrouds are surely an improvement if they didn't use bolts at all before. The top still pushes into a rubber bushing and can be somewhat difficult to get in without pushing the bushing through. 4) I like the AJP clutch. I'd never heard of the brand before, but it holds up without losing feel. I'm a pretty good clutch abuser too. I wonder if anybody sells levers...I wouldn't mind getting a spare. I'm 5'6" and feel very comfortable with the height. Before buying mine, I rode a 2011 and was totally sold on the seat height alone. I couldn't find a new one, though, so figured I'd have to get a 12 or 13. I have the sag set to 106 and the forks are pushed up to the second line. I may move them back to the top line. I can put one foot down or two feet on my toes. On previous bikes I cut the seat foam, but on this one it was not necessary...which is good because there is no foam to spare. lol. I don't think you made the wrong decision on the '12. I was very close to getting one myself and then found a smoking deal on a '13. The bottom line is, though, that this bike is unbelievably awesome! |

I noticed on the spec sheet for the 2013 bike the shock had been revalved , so if you put the 13 pullrods on a 12 would you have to revalve the shock to suit ?
