Default 2018 YZ450 Electric Start Only-$9199.00

It looks like the big YZ is going electric.

And they finally went to the perimeter frame as well. Now they just need to put the e-start on the 250X 2 stroke to catch up with the rest of the offroad world.

An updated 250 X two stroke would be nice. A updated one with fuel injection would be even better!

I have to agree with that. There is no reason not to have a 2 stroke EFI especially from Yamaha. With there R&D in boat engines, snowmobile engines, and what ever else they are into they already have running 2 stroke EFI's. I really dont know why they dont offer it.

Just like Sherco, they don't offer it because they don't have to (yet). As we have discussed, its more complicated, more expensive and possibly also heavier.
