Default crank question

Hi All I've heard that on the 03 MC250 that you can use a honda crank instead of the gasgas crank does anybody know if this is true and if so does anyone know what year I can use. The main reason is that the gg crank is 700.00 dollars compared to the 265.00 for the honda

Thanks
Brian

The rod is interchange-able. The crank assembly is not. You can have your crank rebuilt using a honda rod kit; They are made by vesrah, "hot rods" and a few others... - I think years are '88 to '01 but need to double check.

If you don't have anyone locally to do this for you - Ron at RB-Designs is a sponsor here and is highly qualified.
