Default FMF Q Stealth

For anyone who is looking to get a new silencer for their GG, I can highly recommend this baby. They are now OEM on the new Gassers. My 09 has the "old" stock banana shape silencer - just too loud for for my liking.

I ordered it from GoFasters, and the guys were great in getting to me here in New Zealand without any hassles .

Fitment was no issues and boy does it sound nice. Still a good "bark", but not as loud as the old pipe. My jetting still seems fine, but I will have a better idea once I take it on a long run. FMF quality is great - solid piece of engineering from the good old USA (we need more of this!!).

FMF says it need repacking about every 10 hours.

Happy customer

I like how quiet mine is too. I did notice that the top end seems a bit stronger with it mounted as well, as if it will stretch another 1000 rpm or so still pulling strong on my 250. Maybe it's a noise thing, maybe not.

Today I went for a ride and the guy I was riding with commented on how quiet my bike was. That's not new, but what he said was really cool. He said he heard me farting around where we parked (there's a little bank and a root jump) and stated that when I took off, he heard the movement of the gravel and the falling gravel from roost over the noise of my bike. How crazy is that?

Roosta,

I've got to admit that I could use some clarification on your comment below from a related thread. You seem to be saying that the Stealth is about the same as the stock silencer...or is it quieter??

"It is super quiet, which is nice, but frankly, it sounds the same to my ear as the stocker (which I was running because I ruined my FMF turbine core 2). If it wasn't for the stupid spark arrestor, there'd be no need to change.
Anyway, it's quiet, really quiet."

10 hours, that's about how long it takes for the suspension to break in. I've done 10 hrs in a wknd before.

Has anyone put one of these on a pre 07 ? I'd like to be a little quieter. I'm loud and noisy enough! If so could you tell me what you had to do.I want one but if i have to fabricate for hours i'll just be louder
Thanks
Stoby

I pulled a 86 db at a hare scramble sound check 2 weeks back with my 2011 300 GasGas. When you wind it tight it still barks enough to let em know you wanna pass em.
