Which year Honda air filter for my 2014 XC300?

I know there is a range of years listed on the crossover parts link, however I bought a Honda air filter and the fit wasn't that great. I had to create my own holes for the cage and one of them eventually ripped all the way through.

The original air filter that came with the bike was a perfect fit.

Anyone know the specific year or years that fit a 2014 XC300R correctly (with the proper holes for the cage)?

'07 will fit but it's a little bigger, not much. I have run one in a pinch w/ no issues.

You can have your local shop order the correct one from twin air.

A filter for a 2014 gasgas will fit properly with the correct holes. Don't mess with trying to make another bikes filter fit yours. Buy what is made for your bike
and a perfect fit.

I spoke to the guy at Funnelweb Filter - going to order one and try it out as it is specific to my model bike.

I will report back on its performance once I get some miles on it.
