Anything is better than their Mikuni debacle.

Yep if it's true (I have heard it is not worldwide for 2018) lectron sales are going to drop after the bumper mikhuni year they have just had lol

One of the fi bikes that letti rode at the roof was later tested here by one of my riding buddies and I believe it was pretty good ... although it did sound like a DT125 apparently

I think the Mikunis were bolted on to get all of the orange faithful on-board with injected 2Ts

Sherco's headman is on record as saying they have a saleable efi 2T but continued to work on the carbureted bikes and are able to pass emissions with those, so they're sticking to it.

TM has had efi prototypes since 2005, but are in no hurry to bring them to market.

EFI give you cleaner idle but after throttle is open, carb give you "same" punch. And it is simple, reliable, light, proven and cheaper.
But lack fancy factor...

Vertigo already sells 2 strokes with EFI since last year, trial bikes tough but still 2 stroke

GasGas also has efi. Remember they bought Ossa and they had one with the pipe out the back.

In the press release from gas gas on their 18 models they did mention their working on a whole new 2 stroke engine! Hmmmmmm

Then there's this article, but I'm not sure how credible it is.

These are the same pictures as Ossa showed a couple of (or perhaps even more?) years ago. A lot of innovative solutions. I am really looking forward to seeing that bike in the flesh, but I must say I doubt that I will ever do. Here in Norway, both Ossa and Gasgas are imported by the same company, together with TRS. Last time I visited their shop, I heard nothing about Ossa. I think no Ossa (trials) bikes has been manufactured since some time before Gasgas ceased production. Whether the Ossa development team is still active, I don't know.
