Default 2006 Husqvarna TC owners....

If you own a 2006 Husky TC with the 2nd generation Marzocchi twin chamber fork in 45 or 50 mm, you would do yourself a big favor to have the fork cartridge internals inspected.

I have had several sets of these apart and every one of them to date has had the retaining nut for the rebound valving loose or has fallen off. These were all new units or had very low time on them.

The 6 mm retaining nut has no lock tight, is not a lock nut, no lock washer and the shaft end is not peened over. There is plenty of shaft exposed to do one or all of these countermeasures.

You may not notice anything for awhile, then you may experience decreased or no damping action at all. This can cause some expensive repair if left unchecked, not to mention the long down time you may have waiting for the (unique to this fork) parts to arrive. I find it odd that Marzocchi or Husqvarna (sometimes the bike manufacturer assembles the supplied components) would allow this to occur again, early in the production of their inverted fork (2001 to 2003) this was an issue and I thought they knew better, lesson learned?

This applies ONLY to the 2006 TC models with 45 or 50 mm Marzocchi.
