Well I'm drinking Emerson's tonight. Big rig. But I prefer Orange Roughy.

Edit for others , its a Dunedin brew.

Needle is in the post. Start the stop watch!

Don't worry about transferring any coin. Just buy me one of those brews if I ever get across the ditch!

You legend! You have yourself a deal!

Took the bike for a ride through the forest today with a few friends. Was very hard to start cold, but once it was warm it started easily each time. I made sure to open it up at every opportunity, but definitely running rich currently. Bring on the new needle!

All was going well until we started to head home. It felt like it was surging, so I reached down and flicked over to reserve which fixed that. Then about 5-10 mins of medium+ throttle top gear riding later, it suddenly started sounding louder, and then died. Still had what I estimate to be about 2L left in the tank. Disconnecting the fuel line from carb I confirmed normal tap position was dry, but fuel was coming out fine on reserve.....
No amount of kicking it over would start it.

By then we were on local roads again, so got a mate to bring the ute and I just loaded it on and went home. Tomorrow will put more fuel in and see if it starts....

Might have slurped some crud out of the bottom of the tank.

I usually run an inline filter between the tank and carb, haven't put one on the 2018 yet. I need to.

Give the pilot a good blow out. Get some fresh fuel in her.. Ride on!

Take tank off, clean out tap etc.

Then clean out carb , blow through pilot jet hole with some hose or an airline.

You called it. Blocked pilot. Cleaned that and now all good.
Also a hole in the pet cock filter.
